Daniel Joshua Gillies (born March 14, 1976) is a Canadian-born New Zealand actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He’s known for his roles as Elijah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off, The Originals, and Dr. Joel Goran in Saving Hope.
